How to Use

Dosage

The typical recommended dose is 10 mg once daily.

Method

Take your tablet once a day at the same time, either with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush it.

The recommended maximum daily dose is 10 mg, but your doctor will adjust your dose based on your health and any side effects.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling very tired, weak, dizzy, or having pale skin (signs of anemia).
  • Fever, chills, or signs of infection (like sore throat).
  • Cough, shortness of breath, wheezing (signs of lung problems).
  • High blood sugar levels.
  • Loss of appetite, weight loss.
  • Taste changes, headache.
  • Nosebleeds.
  • Mouth sores or dry mouth, inflammation in mouth, stomach, or intestines.
  • Stomach problems, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, heartburn.
  • Rash, itching, red skin, hand-foot syndrome (pain/rash on palms/soles), acne.
  • Swelling in arms, hands, legs, ankles, or other body parts.
  • High cholesterol or fat levels in blood.
  • Low levels of potassium, phosphate, or calcium in blood.
  • Dry, flaky, or damaged skin; nail problems; hair loss.
  • Abnormal liver or kidney test results.
  • Menstrual problems (irregular periods).
  • Sleep problems (insomnia).
  • Eyelid swelling.
  • Protein in urine.
RARE
  • Signs of Hepatitis B reactivation (fever, rash, joint pain, nausea, yellow skin, pain in upper right abdomen, pale stools, dark urine).
  • Signs of heart failure (shortness of breath, difficulty breathing when lying down, swelling of legs and feet).
  • Signs of a blood clot in a leg (swelling/pain in one leg, red/warm skin).
  • Signs of a blood clot in the lung (sudden difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing up blood).
  • Signs of sudden kidney failure (very low urine, leg swelling, confusion, back pain).
  • Severe allergic reaction (hives, severe itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing, dizziness, swelling of face/mouth/tongue).
  • Low counts of all blood cells (feeling weak, spontaneous bleeding/bruising, frequent infections with fever, chills, sore throat, mouth sores).
  • Loss of taste.
  • Coughing up blood.
  • Missed periods.
  • Urinating more often than usual.
  • Chest pain.
  • Problems with wound healing.
  • Hot flashes.
  • Watery, itchy, and red eyes (conjunctivitis).
  • Shortness of breath or rapid breathing (acute respiratory distress syndrome).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to everolimus or similar medicines (e.g., sirolimus, temsirolimus) or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you have liver problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Everolimus Avansor can increase blood sugar levels. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes or notice increased thirst or frequent urination.
  • Avoid live vaccines while taking this medicine. Discuss any planned vaccinations with your doctor.
  • This medicine may increase cholesterol or other fat levels in your blood. Your doctor will monitor these levels.

  • Inform your doctor if you have recently had surgery or have unhealed wounds, as the medicine may affect healing.
  • This medicine can weaken your immune system, making you more prone to infections. Inform your doctor if you have a fever or other signs of infection.
  • If you have a history of Hepatitis B, this medicine may reactivate the virus. Your doctor will monitor you.
  • Inform your doctor if you have received or are planning to receive radiation therapy, as this medicine may worsen side effects from it.
  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during treatment, as they can increase the medicine's level in your blood.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as it can harm the unborn baby. Use effective contraception during and for 8 weeks after treatment.
  • Do not breastfeed during treatment or for 2 weeks after your last dose, as it may harm your baby.
  • This medicine can cause extreme tiredness. Be careful when driving or operating machines.
  • This medicine is not for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
