Etoricoxib Sandoz helps reduce pain and swelling (inflammation) in joints and muscles, for example with arthritis or rheumatism, and is also used for short-term pain after dental surgery.
Always follow your doctor's instructions. The usual dose is 30-60 mg once daily, but it can be up to 120 mg for short periods for some conditions like gout.
Take the tablet by mouth once a day. You can take it with or without food. Taking it without food might make it work faster.
Do not take more than 120 mg in a single day. Always follow your doctor's specific dose for your condition.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Do not use in severe renal impairment. May increase swelling, worsen renal and cardiac failure and cause cardiovascular events. Risk of gastrointestinal bleeding less than with traditional NSAIDs. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
