Your doctor will tell you how much to take, but usually, adults start with 10 mg once a day.
Take the tablet with water, with or without food. Do not chew the tablet as it tastes bitter. If prescribed, 10 mg and 20 mg tablets can be split.
The maximum daily dose for adults is usually 20 mg, but your doctor may adjust this. For older patients (over 65) or those with liver problems, the maximum is 10 mg daily.
