How to Use

Dosage

For non-small cell lung cancer, the usual dose is one 150 mg tablet once daily. For pancreatic cancer that has spread, the usual dose is one 100 mg tablet once daily, taken with gemcitabine.

Method

Take the tablet at least one hour before eating or two hours after eating.

Important

Always follow your doctor's instructions, as the dose may be adjusted.

  • Red or sore palms or soles of feet (hand-foot syndrome)
  • Liver inflammation (hepatitis)
  • Ulcers or holes in the cornea of the eye
  • Severe blistering or peeling skin rash (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Inflammation of the iris (colored part of the eye)

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, as some can affect how Erlotinib Stada works or increase side effects.
  • If you take blood thinners (anticoagulants), Erlotinib Stada might increase your risk of bleeding, so your doctor will monitor you.
  • If you take statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs), Erlotinib Stada may increase muscle problems, which can rarely lead to kidney damage.
  • Tell your doctor if you wear contact lenses or have a history of eye problems like dry eyes or corneal inflammation.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience sudden breathing difficulties, cough, or fever, as your treatment may need to be stopped.

  • Get immediate medical help if you have severe or ongoing diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, or vomiting, as you might need hospital care.
  • Inform your doctor if you have had liver problems, as Erlotinib Stada can cause serious liver issues, and regular blood tests will be needed.
  • Report severe stomach pain or burning/peeling skin rashes to your doctor, as treatment might be stopped.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden or worsening eye redness or pain, increased tearing, blurred vision, or light sensitivity.
  • If you are taking a statin and have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, or cramps, tell your doctor as treatment may need to be stopped.
  • Avoid pregnancy during and for at least 2 weeks after treatment. Do not breastfeed during treatment and for 2 weeks after your last dose.
  • Stop smoking, as it can reduce the amount of medicine in your blood.
