How to Use

Dosage

For lung cancer, the usual dose is one 150 mg tablet daily. For pancreatic cancer, it's one 100 mg tablet daily, taken with another medicine.

Method

Take the tablet at least one hour before food or two hours after food.

Important

Your doctor will determine your maximum daily dose.

  • Red or painful palms or soles (hand-foot syndrome)
  • Corneal ulcers or perforations
  • Severe blistering or peeling rash (like Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Inflammation of the colored part of the eye (iris)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to erlotinib or any other ingredient.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines that might affect how Erlotinib Stada works or increase its side effects.
  • If you are taking blood thinners, your doctor will monitor you regularly due to an increased risk of bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking statins, as this medicine can increase the risk of muscle problems that could harm your kidneys.
  • Tell your doctor if you wear contact lenses or have had eye problems like dry eyes or inflammation.

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience sudden breathing difficulties, cough, or fever. Your doctor may need to change your treatment.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you have severe or persistent diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, or vomiting, as you may need hospital care.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had liver problems. Erlotinib can cause serious liver issues, and your doctor will monitor your liver function with blood tests.
  • If you have severe abdominal pain, burning, or peeling skin rashes, your doctor might stop your treatment.
  • Avoid getting pregnant or breastfeeding while taking this medicine and for at least 2 weeks after your last dose.
  • Stop smoking during treatment, as smoking can reduce the medicine's effectiveness.
