How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 1.23 mg per square meter of your body surface area. Your doctor might change this dose based on your blood tests or other factors.

Method

A trained healthcare professional will give Eribulin Stada as an injection into a vein over 2 to 5 minutes. After the injection, saline solution is usually flushed into the vein to make sure you get the full dose.

Important

This medicine is usually given on day 1 and day 8 of a 21-day treatment cycle. Your doctor will decide how many cycles you need and may adjust or delay doses based on your blood tests.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Decreased white or red blood cells
  • Tiredness or weakness
  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea
  • Numbness, tingling, or prickling sensation
  • Fever
  • Loss of appetite, weight loss
  • Breathing difficulties, cough
  • Joint, muscle, and back pain
  • Headache
  • Hair loss
RARE
  • Fever with rapid heartbeat, fast shallow breathing, cold, pale, clammy or mottled skin, and/or confusion (signs of sepsis, a severe reaction to infection).
  • Breathing difficulties or swelling of the face, mouth, tongue, or throat (signs of a severe allergic reaction).
  • Severe blistering rashes on the skin, in the mouth, eyes, and genital area (signs of Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis).
  • Decreased platelets (may cause bruising or prolonged bleeding time)
  • Febrile infection, pneumonia, chills
  • Rapid heartbeat, skin redness
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness
  • Increased tear production, conjunctivitis (redness and soreness of the eye surface), nosebleeds
  • Dehydration, dry mouth, cold sores, oral thrush, indigestion, heartburn, stomach pain or bloating
  • Soft tissue swelling, pain (especially chest, back, and bone pain), muscle cramps or weakness
  • Mouth, respiratory tract, and urinary tract infections, painful urination
  • Sore throat, sore or runny nose, flu-like symptoms, sore throat
  • Abnormal liver function tests, changes in blood sugar, bilirubin, phosphate, potassium, magnesium, or calcium levels
  • Difficulty sleeping, depression, changes in taste
  • Rash, itching, nail problems, dry or red skin
  • Excessive sweating (including night sweats)
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Blood clots in the lungs
  • Shingles
  • Skin swelling and numbness in hands and feet
  • Blood clots
  • Abnormal liver function tests (liver toxicity)
  • Kidney failure, blood or protein in urine
  • Widespread lung inflammation, which may lead to scarring
  • Pancreatitis
  • Mouth sores
  • Severe blood clotting disorder, leading to widespread blood clot formation and internal bleeding

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to eribulin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have fever or an infection.
  • Tell your doctor if you have numbness, tingling, prickling, increased sensitivity to touch, or muscle weakness.
