How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 160 mg once a day (four 40 mg tablets or two 80 mg tablets).

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with enough water. Do not cut, crush, or chew them. You can take them with or without food.

Important

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 160 mg.

  • Restless legs symptoms (strong urge to move a body part, usually legs)
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Forgetting things
  • Changes in taste
  • Difficulty thinking clearly
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations)
  • Low number of white blood cells
  • High liver enzyme levels in blood tests (a sign of liver problems)
  • Muscle pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Muscle weakness
  • Back pain
  • Changes in heart's electrical activity (ECG changes)
  • Stomach upset, including nausea
  • Rash
  • Vomiting
  • Swelling of face, lips, tongue, and/or throat
  • Low number of platelets (which increases risk of bleeding or bruising)
  • Diarrhea
  • Reduced appetite

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to enzalutamide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Pregnant women or women who could become pregnant should not handle broken or damaged tablets without protective gloves.
  • Seizures have been reported; if you have a seizure while taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately.
  • If you experience seizures, severe headache, confusion, blindness, or other vision problems, contact your doctor immediately as these could be signs of a rare brain condition called PRES.
  • New cancers have been reported; contact your doctor immediately if you notice signs of bleeding in your stomach or intestines, blood in your urine, or frequent urges to urinate.

  • If you have difficulty swallowing this medicine, make sure to swallow the tablets whole with enough water.
  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you develop severe skin reactions like rash, peeling skin, blisters, or mouth sores, especially if accompanied by fever (possible Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
  • This medicine may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery, especially if you are at risk of seizures. Talk to your doctor if you are unsure.
