How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 160 mg once a day. This is four 40 mg tablets or two 80 mg tablets.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not cut, crush, or chew them. You can take the medicine with or without food.

The maximum daily dose is 160 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling very tired
  • Falls or bone fractures
  • Hot flashes
  • High blood pressure
  • Headache
  • Feeling anxious
  • Dry skin or itching
  • Memory problems, trouble concentrating, or difficulty thinking clearly
  • Blockage in heart arteries (ischemic heart disease)
  • Enlarged breasts in men (gynecomastia), nipple pain, or breast tenderness
  • Restless legs syndrome (an urge to move a body part, usually the legs)
  • Changes in taste
RARE
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not there (hallucinations)
  • Low white blood cell count
  • Increased liver enzyme levels found in blood tests (a sign of liver problems)
  • Muscle pain, muscle cramps, muscle weakness, or back pain
  • Changes in your heart's electrical activity (prolonged QT interval on ECG)
  • Upset stomach, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Severe skin reactions, such as red target-like spots (erythema multiforme) or widespread rash, blisters, and peeling skin (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat
  • Low platelet count (which increases the risk of bleeding or bruising)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to enzalutamide or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine is not for women. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women should not handle broken tablets without protective gloves. If you are a man who can father children, use condoms and other birth control during treatment and for 3 months after treatment.
  • If you have a seizure, severe headache, confusion, or vision problems, contact your doctor right away.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter ones, as they can affect how Enzalutamide Sandoz works or increase side effects.
  • If you develop severe skin reactions like rash, blisters, or peeling skin, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
