How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 160 mg once daily (four 40 mg tablets or two 80 mg tablets).

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with enough water; do not split, crush, or chew them. You can take them with or without food.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose is 160 mg.

RARE
  • Seeing or hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations)
  • Low white blood cell count
  • Increased liver enzyme levels in blood tests (a sign of liver problems)
  • Muscle pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Muscle weakness
  • Back pain
  • Changes in heart's electrical activity (ECG changes, QT prolongation)
  • Difficulty swallowing this medicine, including a risk of choking
  • Upset stomach, including nausea
  • Severe skin reactions (like red target-shaped spots or blisters, peeling skin, sores in mouth/throat/eyes, often preceded by fever; e.g., erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Rash
  • Vomiting
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat
  • Decreased number of platelets (increases risk of bleeding or bruising)
  • Diarrhea
  • Decreased appetite

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to enzalutamide or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or could become pregnant. Women who could become pregnant should not handle broken or damaged tablets without protective gloves.
  • This medicine can cause seizures. Contact a doctor immediately if you have a seizure.
  • In rare cases, a brain condition (PRES) may occur, with symptoms like headache, confusion, vision problems, or seizures. Seek medical attention immediately if these occur.
  • There is a reported risk of new cancers, including bladder and colon cancer. Inform your doctor if you notice bleeding or frequent strong urges to urinate.

  • Some patients have experienced difficulty swallowing. Swallow the tablets whole.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have liver or kidney problems, heart issues (like irregular heartbeat), or if you are taking blood thinners or chemotherapy.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine on your own; always talk to your doctor first.
  • This medicine is not intended for children and adolescents.
