How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 160 mg once daily (four 40 mg tablets or two 80 mg tablets).

Method

Swallow tablets whole with enough water. Do not split, crush, or chew. Can be taken with or without food.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 160 mg.

  • Falls

  • Hot flushes
  • High blood pressure
  • Headache

  • Dry skin
  • Itching
  • Memory loss or difficulty concentrating
  • Chest pain due to blocked heart arteries
  • Breast enlargement in men
  • Nipple pain or tenderness
  • Restless legs syndrome (an urge to move a body part, usually the leg)
  • Changes in taste
  • Difficulty thinking clearly
RARE
  • Hallucinations
  • Low white blood cell count
  • Increased liver enzyme levels (sign of liver problems)
  • Muscle pain, spasms, or weakness
  • Back pain
  • Changes in heart rhythm (QT prolongation in ECG)
  • Difficulty swallowing, including choking risk
  • Stomach upset, including nausea and vomiting
  • Severe skin reactions like target-shaped spots, blisters, peeling skin, or sores in the mouth, throat, nose, genitals, and eyes (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Rash
  • Swelling of face, lips, tongue, and/or throat
  • Low platelet count (increased risk of bleeding or bruising)
  • Diarrhea
  • Decreased appetite

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to enzalutamide or any other ingredients.
  • If you are pregnant or may become pregnant, you should not take this medicine. Men should use contraception during and for 3 months after treatment if their partner can become pregnant.
  • This medicine can cause seizures. Seek medical help immediately if you have a seizure.
  • Get medical help right away if you experience seizures, severe headache, confusion, blindness, or other vision problems, as these could be signs of a rare brain condition (PRES).
  • New cancers, such as bladder or colon cancer, have been reported in some patients. Contact your doctor if you notice blood in your stool or urine, or a frequent urgent need to urinate.

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you develop severe skin reactions like rash, peeling skin, blisters, or mouth sores.
  • Some other medicines can increase the risk of seizures when taken with Enzalutamide ratiopharm, including certain asthma medicines, mental health medicines, and pain medicines. Tell your doctor about all medicines you take.
  • This medicine may affect your ability to drive or operate machines due to the risk of seizures.
