Enoxaparin Ledraxen is a medicine that helps prevent and treat blood clots.
Your doctor will decide your dose depending on your condition; it can vary, for example, from 2000 IU (20 mg) or 4000 IU (40 mg) once daily for clot prevention, to 100 IU (1 mg) per kg of body weight every 12 hours for certain heart attacks.
Your doctor or nurse will usually give you the injection under your skin. In some cases, it can also be given into a vein or a dialysis line. It must not be injected into a muscle.
Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose for your specific condition.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Consider potential interactions especially with other drugs that increase the risk of bleeding. (updated 19.9.2025)
