Enoxaparin Becat is a medicine that helps treat existing blood clots and prevents new ones from forming in your body.
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose you need, which depends on your condition. A common dose for treating clots is 150 IU (1.5 mg) per kilogram once daily or 100 IU (1 mg) per kilogram twice daily. For preventing clots, it's often 2000 IU (20 mg) or 4000 IU (40 mg) daily.
This medicine is usually given as an injection under your skin. Sometimes it may be injected into a vein or a dialysis tube. You must not inject it into a muscle.
Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose for you, based on your specific condition and treatment.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in moderately severe renal impairment. Consider potential interactions especially with other drugs that increase the risk of bleeding. (updated 19.9.2025)
