Enalapril Vitabalans is an ACE inhibitor that widens blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood and lowering high blood pressure.
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose. Typically, the starting dose is 2.5 mg to 20 mg once a day, and the usual long-term dose is 20 mg once a day.
Take the tablet with enough liquid, such as a glass of water. You can take it with or without food.
Do not take more than 20 mg per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Monitor renal function and potassium concentrations during the pharmacotherapy. Avoid concurrent use of NSAIDs. (updated 14.4.2025)
