How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will tell you exactly how much medicine to take.
Method
Take the tablet whole with liquid in the morning, with or without food. You can split the tablet if your doctor tells you to.
Important
Always follow your doctor's instructions for the maximum daily dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Cold or numb hands and feet.
- •Feeling tired, dizzy, or having a headache.
- •Stomach problems like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation.
- •Changes in blood tests, such as increased fats, sugar, or uric acid, or problems with fluid and salt balance.
RARE
- •Muscle weakness, cramps, changes in heart rhythm, worsening heart failure, or low blood pressure when standing up.
- •Sleep problems, depression, nightmares, or seeing/hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations).
- •Loss of appetite, stomach pain, pancreatitis, or liver problems (jaundice, liver inflammation, or changes in liver tests).
- •Vision problems, dry eyes, eye pain due to high pressure, pink eye, hearing loss, allergic reactions (like rash, itching, sun sensitivity, swelling of face/throat – seek immediate medical help for severe reactions).
- •Very low white blood cells or platelets (increasing infection risk), chest pain, hair loss, Lupus-like disease, psoriasis worsening/starting, severe breathing issues (shortness of breath, fever, weakness, confusion), or certain types of skin/lip cancer.
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to any ingredients in Emconcor comp.
- Do not take if you have severe heart failure or heart shock.
- Do not take if you have a very slow or irregular heartbeat.
- Do not take if you have severe asthma or severe blood circulation problems.
- Do not take if you have an untreated adrenal gland tumor.

- Do not take if your body is too acidic (metabolic acidosis).
- Do not take if you have severe kidney or liver problems.
- Do not take if you have very low potassium or sodium, or high calcium in your blood.
- Do not take if you have gout.
- Tell your doctor if you have had skin cancer or notice new skin changes, as this medicine may increase risk of certain skin cancers. Protect your skin from sun and UV light.
- If you develop severe shortness of breath or breathing problems after taking Emconcor comp, seek medical help right away.
Use in Elderly Patients
Category C
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
