How to Use

Dosage

For ITP, adults and children 6-17 years usually start with one 50 mg tablet daily. Children 1-5 years with ITP, and adults with Hepatitis C, usually start with one 25 mg tablet daily. Your doctor may adjust your dose.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Important

Do not take more than one dose per day. Your doctor will adjust your daily dose, usually not exceeding one 75 mg tablet.

  • Cataracts (clouding of the eye's lens)
  • Kidney failure
  • Confusion or agitation
  • Stomach flu (gastroenteritis)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to eltrombopag or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, as there is a higher risk of serious liver damage and blood clots.
  • You may have a higher risk of blood clots. Inform your doctor if you have a risk of blood clots or if they run in your family.
  • Do not take Eltrombopag Krka with dairy products, antacids, or mineral/vitamin supplements, as they can prevent the medicine from being properly absorbed. Wait 4 hours before and 2 hours after your dose.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless specifically advised by your doctor. Use reliable contraception during treatment.

  • This medicine may cause dizziness or other side effects that affect your ability to drive or use machines. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you notice signs of a blood clot, such as swelling, pain, or tenderness in one leg; sudden shortness of breath, especially with sharp chest pain or rapid breathing; stomach pain, stomach swelling, or blood in your stools.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you notice yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice) or unusually dark urine, as these can be signs of liver problems.
  • Report any bleeding or bruising to your doctor after stopping Eltrombopag Krka treatment.
