How to Use

Dosage

About 1 cm of Elmex dental gel on your toothbrush

Method

Brush your teeth with the gel once a week. Rinse your mouth after 2-3 minutes. It's best to use it in the evening before bed.

Important

Do not use for more than 5 minutes total (brushing and contact time) per application. This gel is for weekly use only.

Possible Side Effects

  • Peeling or flaking of the mouth lining
  • Surface erosion or sores in the mouth (ulcers, wounds, blisters)

  • Mouth irritation (inflammation, redness, discomfort, burning, numbness, swelling, itching, altered taste, dry mouth, gum inflammation)
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Allergic reactions

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to dectafluor, olafluor, sodium fluoride, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have peeling or abnormal changes in your mouth lining.
  • Do not use if you have a weak or undeveloped swallowing reflex.
  • Do not use if you have bone or tooth fluorosis.
  • Do not use this gel for children under 6 years old.

  • It is important not to swallow the gel; rinse your mouth thoroughly after use.
  • Do not use other fluoride products that are swallowed (like fluoride tablets) during the day you use this gel, or the day before or after.
  • Avoid using topical fluoride products, including this gel, in areas with high fluoride content in water.
  • Do not use this gel with toothpaste or mouthwash, or right before or after brushing/rinsing with them.
  • This gel contains propylene glycol, which may cause skin irritation.
  • This gel contains limonene, linalool, and geraniol, which may cause allergic reactions.
