How to Use
Dosage
One 40 mg tablet.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Important
Do not take more than 80 mg (two 40 mg tablets) within 24 hours.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Chest pressure, pain or tightness, heart palpitations, fast heartbeat.
- •Dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, drowsiness, reduced sense of touch or pain.
- •Sore throat, throat tightness, dry mouth, stomach pain, indigestion, nausea, vomiting.
- •Muscle stiffness, muscle weakness, back pain, muscle pain, general weakness, feeling hot, chills, runny nose, sweating, tingling or unusual sensations, redness, pain.
RARE
- •Difficulty breathing, yawning.
- •Swelling of face, hands or feet, tongue inflammation, rash, itching.
- •Increased sense of touch or pain, coordination problems, slowed or reduced movements, tremor, speech problems, feeling unreal, depression, unusual thoughts, agitation, confusion, mood swings (like euphoria), sleeplessness.
- •Loss of appetite, weight loss, taste changes, thirst.
- •Osteoarthritis, bone pain, joint pain.
- •Increased need to urinate, difficulty urinating, increased urine volume, diarrhea.
- •Vision problems, eye pain, sensitivity to light, dry or watery eyes, earache, ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
- •Poor circulation (peripheral vascular disorder).
Important Warnings
- If you are allergic to eletriptan or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
- If you have high or uncontrolled blood pressure.
- If you have had heart problems, such as a heart attack or irregular heartbeat.
- If you have poor circulation (peripheral vascular disease).

- If you have had a stroke, even a mild one.
- If you have taken ergotamine or similar medicines (e.g., methysergide) or other triptan medicines (e.g., sumatriptan) in the last 24 hours. Avoid taking these within 24 hours of taking Eletriptan Orion.
- Avoid breastfeeding for 24 hours after taking Eletriptan Orion.
