Eldepryl is a medicine used to treat Parkinson's disease, either alone or with other medications.
The starting dose is 5 mg in the morning. The dose can be increased to 10 mg per day.
Take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. The dose can be taken in the morning or divided into two doses. The 10 mg tablet can be divided.
The maximum daily dose is 10 mg.
Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Adverse effects include orthostatic hypotension, hallucinations, confusion, dyskinesia, headache, dizziness and bradycardia. Do not use together with other serotonergic preparations. (updated 6.10.2025)
