How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you, typically 10 mg (1 ml) for adults.

Method

A doctor or nurse will give you this medicine as an injection into a muscle, under the skin, or into a vein.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 6 years old is 50 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
RARE
  • Changes in heart rhythm
  • Anxiety
  • Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
  • Restlessness
  • Tremor (shaking)
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea (feeling sick)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to etilefrine hydrochloride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe heart or blood vessel disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, or diabetes.
  • Do not use during the first three months of pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
  • Inform your doctor if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or prostate problems that make it hard to urinate.
  • Do not use if your blood pressure rises too high when standing up.
