Effortil helps regulate blood pressure and treats low blood pressure and its related symptoms.
Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you, typically 10 mg (1 ml) for adults.
A doctor or nurse will give you this medicine as an injection into a muscle, under the skin, or into a vein.
The maximum daily dose for adults and children over 6 years old is 50 mg.
Current evidence on or experience with use in older adults is inconclusive or the medicine is insufficiently effective in the older adults. (updated 19.5.2025)
