How to Use
Dosage
600 mg once a day for adults and children weighing 40 kg or more.
Method
Take the tablet whole with water on an empty stomach, preferably at bedtime, which means 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
Important
Do not take more than 600 mg in any 24-hour period.

Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to efavirenz or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use if you have severe liver disease.
- Do not use if you have certain heart problems, such as an abnormal heart rhythm or a slow heartbeat.
- Do not use if a close relative has died suddenly due to a heart condition or has a congenital heart condition.
- Do not use if your doctor has told you that you have high or low levels of certain electrolytes (like potassium or magnesium) in your blood.

- Do not take this medicine with certain other medicines; tell your doctor immediately if you are taking any.
- This medicine does not cure HIV infection, and it must always be taken together with other HIV medicines.
- Women should avoid getting pregnant during treatment and for 12 weeks after; use reliable barrier contraception. Do not breastfeed.
- This medicine can cause dizziness, drowsiness, or trouble concentrating. Do not drive or operate machinery if you are affected.
