Edoxaban ratiopharm is a medicine that helps prevent blood clots by blocking a substance involved in blood clotting.
The usual dose is one 60 mg tablet once daily. Your doctor may reduce the dose to one 30 mg tablet once daily if you have kidney problems, weigh 60 kg or less, or are taking certain other medicines (P-gp inhibitors like ciclosporin, dronedarone, erythromycin, or ketoconazole).
Swallow the tablet whole, preferably with water. You can take it with or without food. If you have trouble swallowing, the tablet can be crushed and mixed with water or applesauce, or given through a feeding tube.
The maximum recommended daily dose is one 60 mg tablet, unless your doctor has reduced your dose to 30 mg.
