How to Use

Dosage

Typically, one 60 mg tablet once daily. Your doctor may lower the dose to 30 mg if you have kidney problems, weigh less than 60 kg, or are taking certain other medicines.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole, preferably with water. You can take it with or without food. If you have trouble swallowing, the tablet can be crushed and mixed with water or apple sauce.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one tablet.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to edoxaban or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you are currently bleeding.
  • Do not take if you have a condition that increases your risk of severe bleeding (e.g., stomach ulcer or brain hemorrhage).
  • Do not take if you are using other blood-thinning medicines, unless directed by your doctor when switching treatments.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease that increases bleeding risk.
