How to Use

Dosage

Method

Dysport is given as an injection into a muscle, under the skin, or into the bladder. A doctor or nurse will administer it.

Important

The maximum dose for each treatment session will be decided by your doctor and should not be exceeded.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Muscle weakness and pain (in treated areas like arms, legs, neck)
  • Feeling tired, weak, or having flu-like symptoms
  • Pain, bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection site
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Dry mouth
  • Droopy eyelids
  • Falling
  • Urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection
RARE
  • Itching, rash
  • Muscle wasting
  • Double vision, blurred vision
  • Nausea
  • Bleeding from the bladder or urethra

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Dysport if you are allergic to it or its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have other nerve or muscle conditions (like myasthenia gravis), trouble swallowing or breathing, or an infection at the injection site.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you have serious trouble swallowing, speaking, or breathing after treatment.
  • Be careful when driving or operating machines, as Dysport can cause temporary muscle weakness or vision problems.
  • Dysport is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
