How to Use

Dosage

The dosage varies depending on the condition and age. For constipation, adults and adolescents usually start with 15-45 ml per day, then adjust to 15-30 ml per day. For hepatic encephalopathy, adults start with 30-45 ml three to four times daily.

Method

Duphalac solution can be taken either undiluted or diluted in some liquid. Take the medicine at the same time each day.

The maximum daily dose depends on the condition being treated. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Duphalac if you are allergic to lactulose or any of the other ingredients, if you have a bowel obstruction, or if you have a digestive tract perforation or risk of perforation.
  • Talk to your doctor before using Duphalac if you have unexplained abdominal pain, lactose intolerance, or diabetes.
  • Long-term use of incorrect doses can lead to diarrhea and electrolyte imbalance.
