How to Use

Dosage

One drop in each affected eye in the morning and evening.

Method

Wash your hands, tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and put one drop into your eye. Do not let the bottle tip touch your eye or fingers. Close your eye and press the inner corner for 2 minutes.

Important

A maximum of two drops per day, one in the morning and one in the evening, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

  • Redness in and around the eyes
  • Itchy or watery eyes
  • Eye pain or dry eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Headache
  • Sinus infection (sinusitis)
  • Nausea
  • Weakness or fatigue
RARE
  • Dizziness or depression
  • Vision problems, such as changes in vision or temporary nearsightedness
  • Slow heart rate or fainting
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Indigestion or kidney stones
  • Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
  • Trouble sleeping or nightmares
  • Memory loss or decreased sexual desire
  • Stroke or drooping eyelid
  • Double vision or ringing in the ears
  • Low blood pressure or chest pain
  • Heart attack or Raynaud's phenomenon (cold hands and feet)
  • Hair loss or skin rash
  • Allergic reactions (hives, swelling)
  • Low blood sugar
  • Muscle pain
  • Hallucinations

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Duokopt if you are allergic to its ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had severe breathing problems, like asthma.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a slow heartbeat, heart failure, or irregular heartbeats.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney problems or kidney stones.
  • Tell your doctor if your blood is too acidic (hyperchloremic acidosis).

  • Contact your doctor immediately if your eyes become irritated, red, swollen, or itchy, or if you suspect an allergic reaction.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you wear contact lenses.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless your doctor deems it necessary and advises you.
  • Tell your doctor before surgery that you are using this medicine.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
