How to Use

Dosage

For depression, the usual dose is 60 mg once a day. For generalized anxiety, the usual starting dose is 30 mg once a day, which may be increased to 60 mg, or up to 120 mg a day if needed.

Method

Take the capsule by mouth. Swallow it whole with water. You can also open the capsule carefully and sprinkle the contents onto applesauce, then eat immediately without chewing.

Important

Do not take more than 120 mg of Duloxetine Liconsa per day, or more than your doctor has prescribed.

  • Restlessness or inability to sit or stand still

  • Changes in taste
  • Problems controlling movements (like poor coordination or involuntary muscle movements)
  • Restless legs syndrome (numbness and tingling in legs)
  • Poor sleep quality
  • Large pupils
  • Vision problems
  • Dizziness or a spinning feeling (vertigo)
  • Ear pain
  • Fast and/or irregular heartbeat
  • Fainting
  • Dizziness or fainting when standing up

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to duloxetine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have liver disease or severe kidney disease.
  • Do not take if you are currently taking or have taken certain depression medications (MAOIs) within the last 14 days.
  • Do not take if you are taking other medications that contain duloxetine.
  • If you have thoughts of harming yourself, contact a doctor or go to a hospital immediately.

  • This medicine can cause drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
