How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 60 mg once a day, but your doctor will decide what is right for you. For anxiety, you may start with 30 mg once a day.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth. Swallow the capsule whole with water.

Important

The maximum daily dose can be up to 120 mg, as directed by your doctor.

  • Very high blood pressure or heart problems (e.g., chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness)
  • Thoughts or attempts to harm yourself or commit suicide

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to duloxetine or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver or kidney disease.
  • Do not take if you are taking or have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 14 days.
  • If you have thoughts of harming yourself or suicide, especially when starting treatment or if you are under 25, contact your doctor immediately.
  • Be aware of Serotonin Syndrome: if you experience restlessness, hallucinations, fast heart rate, or fever, seek medical help.
