How to Use

Dosage

Adults: 5-10 drops, 2-3 times daily. Elderly: The dose should be reduced at the start of treatment. For liver or kidney problems, Dropizol should not be used or the dose should be reduced.

Method

Take orally. It can be taken undiluted or mixed with a glass of water. If mixed with water, drink immediately. If taken undiluted, use a spoon.

Important

A single dose should not exceed 1 ml, and the total daily dose should not exceed 6 ml.

  • Trouble peeing or cramps in the bladder area
  • Breathing stops during sleep (sleep apnea)
  • Irregular heartbeat
  • Itching

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Dropizol if you are allergic to opium, morphine, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Dropizol if you are dependent on opioids.
  • Do not take Dropizol if you have severe liver or kidney disease.
  • Do not take Dropizol if you have severe breathing problems or certain lung diseases.
  • Do not use Dropizol if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless your doctor tells you to.

  • Stop taking Dropizol and see a doctor immediately if you get a severe skin rash with blisters, widespread peeling skin, or pus-filled spots with fever.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience severe upper stomach pain that may radiate to the back, with nausea, vomiting, or fever, as these could be signs of pancreatitis.
  • Dropizol can cause sleep-related breathing problems like sleep apnea. If you notice breathing pauses during sleep or excessive daytime sleepiness, contact your doctor.
