Droperidol Sintetica is an injection used to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery, and also nausea and vomiting caused by opioid painkillers after surgery.
Adults usually receive 0.625 mg to 1.25 mg. Elderly patients (over 65 years) and those with kidney or liver problems receive a lower dose of 0.625 mg. Children (2-18 years old) receive a dose based on their weight, up to a maximum of 1.25 mg. This medicine is not recommended for children under 2 years old.
This medicine is given as an injection into a vein by a doctor or nurse.
The maximum daily dose is 5 mg when used with opioid painkillers.
