How to Use
Dosage
Adults usually receive 0.625 mg to 1.25 mg. Elderly patients (over 65 years) and those with kidney or liver problems receive a lower dose of 0.625 mg. Children (2-18 years old) receive a dose based on their weight, up to a maximum of 1.25 mg. This medicine is not recommended for children under 2 years old.
Method
This medicine is given as an injection into a vein by a doctor or nurse.
Important
The maximum daily dose is 5 mg when used with opioid painkillers.

- •Mood changes (sadness, anxiety, depression, irritability)
- •Involuntary muscle movements

- •Life-threatening irregular heartbeat (Torsades de pointes)
- •Prolonged QT interval on ECG (a heart problem affecting heart rhythm)
- •Sudden death
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to droperidol or similar medicines (like haloperidol, benperidol, domperidone).
- Do not take if you or your family have serious heart rhythm problems, a slow heartbeat (under 55 beats per minute), or changes on your heart's electrical recording (ECG).
- Do not take if you have very low potassium or magnesium in your blood.
- Do not take if you have a specific tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma), are in a coma, have Parkinson's disease, or severe depression.
- Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially those that affect your heart or potassium levels. Some medicines should not be taken with Droperidol Sintetica.

- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before and after taking this medicine.
- Do not drive or operate machines for at least 24 hours after taking this medicine, as it can make you drowsy.
