This medicine is an eye drop used to lower high pressure in the eye, which can cause glaucoma, when other eye drops alone are not enough.

How to Use

Dosage

One drop in the affected eye(s) in the morning and one drop in the affected eye(s) in the evening.

Method

Wash your hands, tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, place the tip of the single-dose container near the eye without touching it, and gently squeeze one drop into the eye. Close your eye and press the inner corner for about 2 minutes.

Important

Do not exceed the recommended dose of one drop twice daily per treated eye.

  • Damage to the front surface of the eye (cornea)

  • Sinus infection (sinusitis)
  • Nausea
  • Weakness or tiredness
RARE
  • Dizziness
  • Depression
  • Inflammation of the iris
  • Vision disturbances (including changes in how you see things)
  • Slow heartbeat
  • Fainting
  • Shortness of breath
  • Indigestion
  • Kidney stones
  • Severe skin reactions (like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, with rash or peeling skin)
  • General allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of face or limbs, difficulty breathing, hives)
  • Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
  • Insomnia or nightmares
  • Memory loss
  • Stroke
  • Temporary short-sightedness
  • Drooping eyelid
  • Double vision
  • Low eye pressure
  • Ringing in ears
  • Low blood pressure
  • Heart failure
  • Chest pain
  • Palpitations (fast or irregular heartbeat)
  • Heart attack
  • Raynaud's phenomenon (cold or numb fingers and toes)
  • Leg cramps during walking
  • Worsening of asthma or shortness of breath

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to dorzolamide, timolol, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have certain lung problems (like asthma), a slow heart rate, heart failure, irregular heartbeat, severe kidney disease, kidney stones, or high acidity in your blood.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience eye irritation, new eye problems, redness, or swelling of eyelids.
  • Stop using this medicine and contact your doctor if you suspect an allergic reaction (e.g., rash, severe skin reaction, eye redness or itching).
  • Tell your doctor if you have an eye infection, eye injury, eye surgery, or new or worsening symptoms.

  • Do not drive or operate machinery until you feel well and your vision is clear.
