Dormicum is a fast-acting medicine that helps you sleep, calms you, and relaxes muscles, used for short-term severe sleeplessness or before medical procedures.
For adults, the usual dose is 7.5 mg to 15 mg. Older or weaker patients should take 3.75 mg to 7.5 mg.
Take Dormicum tablets right before going to bed. You can split the tablets to make them easier to swallow, but swallow them whole with water, do not chew.
Do not take more than 15 mg at one time, and the total dose for one day should not be more than 15 mg.
Avoid use in older adults. Sedative. Being very short-acting, may cause amnesia and confusion. Increases the risk of drug addiction, rebound insomnia and cognitive disorder. Increases the risk of falls and traffic accidents. Paradoxically, may increase anxiety, restlessness and aggression. Consider the numerous potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 12.2.2024)
