  • Trouble sleeping or other sleep disturbances
  • Feeling restless
  • Agitation or feeling agitated
  • Feeling disoriented or confused about time and place
  • Increased pressure inside the head
  • Seizures or convulsions
  • Changes in mood
  • Vision problems
  • Slow heart rate (bradycardia)
  • Prolonged QT interval and a severe irregular heartbeat (Torsades de Pointes)

  • Pauses in breathing during sleep (sleep apnea)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Dolmed if you are allergic to methadone hydrochloride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have very poor lung function, an asthma attack, or during childbirth pain.
  • Do not use if you have taken MAO inhibitors (a type of antidepressant) within the last two weeks.
  • Tell your doctor if you experience weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, as these could be signs of adrenal gland problems.
  • Be especially careful if you have heart, kidney, liver, thyroid, lung, or urinary tract problems, head injury, high pressure in the head, electrolyte imbalances, pancreas or gallbladder disease, Addison's disease, a specific adrenal gland tumor, sudden stomach pain, or a history of alcohol or drug abuse.

  • Do not drink alcohol while taking Dolmed.
  • Long-term use of Dolmed can lead to dependence, and stopping it suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms.
  • Dolmed tablets are not for use by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Taking Dolmed with sedatives (like certain anxiety medicines) can be very dangerous, causing severe sleepiness, breathing problems, and even coma.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, talk to your doctor before using Dolmed. Do not take it during childbirth.
  • Dolmed can reduce fertility in men.
  • This medicine can affect your ability to drive vehicles or operate machines requiring focused attention.
