How to Use

Dosage

Usually one tablet twice a day, in the morning and evening. The dosage depends on the severity of your pain.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not break, chew, or crush them. You can take them with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than 400 mg per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

RARE
  • Heart and circulatory problems (palpitations, fast heartbeat, feeling faint or collapse), especially when standing up or with physical activity.
  • Retching, stomach irritation (pressure or bloating in the stomach), diarrhea.
  • Skin reactions (such as itching, rash).
  • Allergic reactions including difficulty breathing, wheezing, or skin swelling.
  • Swelling of the face, tongue, and/or throat, with difficulty swallowing, hives, and/or breathing difficulties.
  • Shock or sudden circulatory collapse.
  • Seizures.
  • Slow heartbeat, increased blood pressure.
  • Slow breathing and shortness of breath.
  • Changes in appetite, unusual sensations (itching, tingling, numbness), tremor.
  • Muscle cramps, muscle weakness, involuntary movements.
  • Fainting (syncope).
  • Speech disorders.
  • Blurred vision, constricted pupils, excessively dilated pupils.
  • Difficulty or pain when urinating, passing less urine than normal.
  • Hallucinations (seeing, feeling, or hearing things that aren't there), confusion, sleep disturbances, anxiety, impaired judgment (delirium), and nightmares.
  • Feeling of spinning or vertigo (balance problems, dizziness).
  • Flushing of the face and often other skin areas.
  • Increased liver enzyme levels.
  • Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia).
  • Low blood sodium levels (hyponatremia), which can cause fatigue, confusion, muscle twitching, seizures, and coma.
  • Worsening of asthma.
  • Hiccups.
  • Serotonin syndrome (symptoms include agitation, hallucinations, coma, fever, fast heart rate, blood pressure changes, involuntary twitching, muscle stiffness, coordination problems, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tramadol or any other ingredient in this medicine. Symptoms include rash, itching, swelling, or trouble breathing.
  • Do not take if you have consumed a lot of alcohol or taken too many certain medicines, such as sleeping pills, pain relievers, or mood-altering drugs.
  • Do not take if you have used MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease) in the last 14 days.
  • Do not take if you have epilepsy that is not well controlled by medication.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are in withdrawal treatment for opioid dependence.

  • Stop taking this medicine and contact a doctor immediately if you experience serious symptoms like slow breathing, confusion, severe drowsiness, small pupils, nausea, or vomiting.
  • There is a small risk of serotonin syndrome. Contact a doctor immediately if you have symptoms related to this (e.g., mood changes, fast heart rate, fever, nausea).
  • Dolatramyl can cause sleep-related breathing problems. If you notice your breathing stopping during sleep, waking up at night due to shortness of breath, or feeling very sleepy during the day, contact your doctor.
  • Dolatramyl can cause dependence. Do not use the medicine for longer or in higher doses than prescribed by your doctor.
  • Contact your doctor if you need higher doses, use the medicine for other purposes, try unsuccessfully to stop, or experience withdrawal symptoms when stopping.
  • Do not drink alcohol during treatment, as it can increase the medicine's effects. Food does not affect the medicine's effect.
  • Do not use this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it can be harmful to the baby.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel your reactions are impaired.
