How to Use

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. For regular use, the typical dose is 1 to 2 tablets daily for Divifarm 1000 IU, 1 to 2 tablets weekly for Divifarm 7000 IU, or 1 to 2 tablets monthly for Divifarm 30000 IU.

Method

You can swallow the tablets whole or crush them. You can take the tablets with food.

Important

Do not take more tablets than your doctor has prescribed for you. For Divifarm 1000 IU, the maximum daily dose is usually 2 tablets (2000 IU). Other strengths are taken weekly or monthly.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Divifarm if you are allergic to cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Divifarm if you have high calcium levels in your blood or urine.
  • Do not take Divifarm if you have too much Vitamin D in your body (D-hypervitaminosis).
  • Do not take Divifarm if you have kidney stones.
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have sarcoidosis (a type of tissue disease affecting lungs, skin, or joints).

  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines that contain Vitamin D.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have kidney problems or have had kidney stones in the past.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Your daily Vitamin D intake should not be more than 600 IU during pregnancy unless your doctor says so.
  • If you have problems with certain sugars (like lactose or sucrose), talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines you are taking, as some can interact with Divifarm.
  • Stop taking Divifarm and see a doctor right away if you get signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, trouble swallowing, hives, or difficulty breathing.
