  • This medicine affects folate balance and can harm blood cell production, especially with long-term or high doses. Contact your doctor immediately if you get a sore throat, fever, paleness, or red/purple skin discoloration, as these can be signs of serious blood problems.
  • This medicine can cause sensitivity to light, so avoid direct sun exposure.
  • If you develop bloody or severe diarrhea during treatment, stop using Ditrim duplo immediately and contact your doctor.
  • Be aware of potentially life-threatening skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, DRESS syndrome). These often start as red, target-like spots or blisters on the body, with other symptoms like mouth sores or red, swollen eyes, and flu-like illness. Stop treatment and contact your doctor immediately if these symptoms appear.
  • If you experience fever, red skin, and pus-filled blisters, these might be signs of a serious reaction called acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP); contact your doctor.
  • If you have had severe skin reactions (like Stevens-Johnson syndrome, TEN, DRESS, or AGEP) with Ditrim duplo before, you must never use this medicine again.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if your cough unexpectedly worsens and you have difficulty breathing.
  • Rarely, severe immune reactions (HLH) have occurred. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience fever, swollen lymph nodes, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, bruising, or rash simultaneously or close together.
  • Using Ditrim duplo with certain medicines, potassium supplements, or high-potassium foods can lead to high blood potassium. Symptoms can include muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, or headache.
  • Your doctor may need to monitor your child's kidney function and blood values, especially during long-term use.
  • Always tell your doctor if your child has other illnesses or allergies.
