How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is 0.5 ml.

Method

A doctor or nurse will give the vaccine as an injection into a muscle.

Important

A single dose is given. Your doctor will decide if more vaccinations are needed.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mild redness and swelling at the injection site.
  • Pain and itching at the injection site.
  • Headache and tiredness.
  • General discomfort and fever (38°C or higher).
  • Strong redness and swelling of 5 cm or more at the injection site.
  • Muscle pain.
  • Dizziness.
  • Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
RARE
  • Rash (eczema) and skin inflammation.
  • High fever (40°C or higher).
  • Long-lasting itchy lumps (granuloma) or sterile abscess at the injection site.
  • Hives.
  • Fainting.
  • Severe allergic reactions like trouble breathing or swallowing, itchy hands and feet, or swelling around the eyes and face.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components.
  • Do not take if you have had severe side effects from previous vaccinations.
  • If you are ill or have a high fever, the vaccination might need to be postponed.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines that weaken your immune system or if you have an increased risk of bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to formaldehyde.
