How to Use

Dosage

One Diovan Comp tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet at the same time each day, preferably in the morning, with or without food, and swallow it with a glass of water.

Important

One tablet per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Low potassium levels in the blood, which can cause muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat
  • Increased fat (lipid) levels in the blood
  • Low sodium levels in the blood
  • Low magnesium levels in the blood
  • High uric acid levels in the blood
  • Itchy skin rash or other types of rashes
  • Decreased appetite
  • Mild nausea and vomiting
  • Dizziness or fainting when standing up quickly
  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection
RARE
  • Cough
  • Low blood pressure
  • Feeling like you are spinning (vertigo)
  • Dehydration (symptoms like thirst, dry mouth, or dark urine)
  • Muscle pain
  • Tiredness
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Blurred vision
  • Ringing or buzzing in the ears
  • Diarrhea
  • Joint pain
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Significantly reduced urine output (may be a sign of kidney problems)
  • Low white blood cell count (which can cause fever or infections)
  • Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), caused by increased bilirubin levels
  • Fainting

Important Warnings

  • If you experience swelling of your face, tongue, or throat, or difficulty swallowing or breathing, stop taking Diovan Comp and get medical help right away, as these could be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you develop a severe skin reaction with rash, redness, blistering on your lips, eyes or mouth, or skin peeling, along with fever.
  • If you experience blurred vision or eye pain, especially after starting this medicine, seek medical help immediately as it could be a sign of increased pressure in your eyes.
  • If you develop severe shortness of breath, fever, weakness, and confusion, seek immediate medical attention, as these could be signs of acute breathing problems.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
