How to Use

Dosage

The starting dose is usually 0.75–1.5 mg once or 0.25–0.75 mg daily for one week. The maintenance dose is usually 0.125–0.25 mg per day.

Method

Take the tablets orally as directed by your doctor. You can take them with or without food, but avoid high-fiber foods when taking the medication.

Important

The maximum daily dose for adults is generally 0.25 mg, but your doctor will determine the exact dose based on your needs.

  • Do not stop taking Digoxin Orion without talking to your doctor first, even if you feel better.
  • If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to lower your dose, as too much medicine can be harmful.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience signs of an overdose such as severe nausea, vomiting, confusion, or serious heart rhythm changes.
  • If you are having an EKG (heart test), tell the staff you are taking Digoxin Orion, as it can affect the test results.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Maximun daily dose: 0,125 mg. In older adults, concentration should be less than 1.
