How to Use

Dosage

For adults and young people over 16, the usual starting dose is 2-3 tablets (50 mg each) per day, split into 2-3 doses. For mild pain, 1-2 tablets per day is often enough. For menstrual pain, take 1-3 tablets (50 mg each) per day, split into 1-3 doses, starting with 1-2 tablets.

Method

Take tablets with a small amount of liquid, preferably before a meal. Do not chew the tablets.

Important

Do not take more than 4 Diclomex Rapid 50 mg tablets in one day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • headache, dizziness
  • spinning sensation (vertigo)
  • upper stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, gas, loss of appetite
  • rashes, skin irritation
RARE
  • rapid or irregular heartbeat, chest pain
  • tiredness, drowsiness
  • wheezing, shortness of breath (asthma)
  • liver problems (hepatitis), with or without yellow skin or eyes
  • stomach lining inflammation, stomach or duodenal ulcers (possibly with bleeding, narrowing, or a hole)
  • fluid retention in the body (e.g., swollen ankles)
  • mental or emotional disturbances, depression, anxiety, nightmares
  • problems with perception or memory, feeling confused, trouble sleeping, irritability, convulsions, tremors
  • changes in taste
  • tingling or numbness in hands, fingers, and feet
  • vision problems (blurred vision or seeing double)
  • stroke or other brain circulation problems
  • ringing in the ears, hearing loss
  • high blood pressure
  • blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis)
  • lung inflammation (pneumonitis)
  • lower abdominal symptoms and bowel problems, such as bleeding and inflammation, or worsening of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
  • mouth or tongue inflammation, damage to the esophagus, constipation, cramps in the upper abdomen (signs of bowel obstruction)
  • inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis)
  • flu-like symptoms, fatigue, muscle pain, high liver enzymes in blood tests (signs of severe liver problems)
  • small bleeds under the skin (purpura), rash, eczema, sensitivity to light, redness and itching of the skin, blistering skin inflammation
  • rash with peeling or shedding skin (exfoliative dermatitis)
  • hair loss
  • acute kidney problems, protein or blood in urine, nephrotic syndrome (fluid retention and significant protein in urine), kidney tissue damage
  • allergic skin reaction with red, swollen, round or oval patches, blisters, and itching (fixed drug eruption); the skin may also darken in affected areas.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, ibuprofen, other NSAID painkillers, or any other ingredient in this medicine; symptoms may include swelling of the face or mouth, difficulty breathing, chest pain, runny nose, or rashes.
  • Do not use if you have a stomach or bowel ulcer, bleeding, or perforation (a hole).
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy as it can harm your unborn baby or cause problems during delivery.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney or liver disease.
  • Do not use if you have a heart condition or blood vessel disease in the brain, such as a previous heart attack, stroke, or circulation problems in your arms or legs.

  • Stop taking this medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you experience chest pain, as this could be a sign of a serious allergic reaction or heart attack.
