Diclofenac ratiopharm gel is a topical anti-inflammatory pain reliever that eases pain and swelling in muscles and joints for adults and adolescents aged 14 and over.

How to Use

Dosage

Apply a cherry-sized or walnut-sized amount (1-4g) of gel to the affected area 3–4 times a day.

Method

Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area and gently rub it into the skin. Wash your hands after application, unless they are the treated area. Allow the gel to dry for a few minutes before applying a bandage.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 16g of gel.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Rash, itching, skin redness, eczema, dermatitis (including contact dermatitis).
RARE
  • Skin flaking, dry skin, swelling (edema).
  • Blistering rash, digestive problems.
  • Hypersensitivity reactions, such as hives.
  • Photosensitivity reactions after sun exposure.
  • Burning sensation at the application site.
  • Wheezing, shortness of breath, or a tight feeling in the chest (asthma).
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have previously experienced breathing difficulties (asthma), skin rash, or facial swelling after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
  • Do not apply to open wounds, inflamed or infected skin, areas with rash, or mucous membranes.
  • Do not use during the last trimester of pregnancy.
  • Not for use in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.

  • If a skin rash appears during treatment with the gel, discontinue use.
  • Avoid direct sunlight on the treated area, as it may cause skin reactions (photosensitivity).
  • Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3-5 days.
