Diclofenac ratiopharm

This gel contains diclofenac, a pain reliever, and is used for local pain and swelling from injuries or certain joint conditions in adults and adolescents 14 and older.

How to Use

Dosage

Apply a cherry to walnut-sized amount (1-4g) of gel to the affected area.

Method

Apply to the affected area 3-4 times a day and rub gently into the skin. Allow the gel to dry for a few minutes before covering with a bandage. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 16 g of gel.

  • General swelling (edema)

  • Skin reactions to sunlight (photosensitivity)
  • Burning sensation at the application site
  • Wheezing, shortness of breath, or chest tightness (asthma symptoms)
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have had breathing problems (asthma), skin reactions (hives), runny nose, or facial/tongue swelling after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen).
  • Do not apply to open wounds, inflamed or infected skin, eczema, or mucous membranes.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy. Consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Do not use for children under 14 years of age.

  • If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3-5 days, consult a doctor.
  • Stop treatment if a rash develops.
  • Avoid sun exposure during treatment as it can cause skin reactions. Prevent children from touching treated areas.
