Dexketoprofen Krka is a pain-relieving medicine, an NSAID, used for acute moderate to severe pain when tablets cannot be taken.
The recommended dose is usually one 50 mg ampoule every 8–12 hours.
The medicine is given as an injection into a muscle or vein for acute pain, for a maximum of 2 days, then switch to oral pain relief.
The total daily dose must not exceed 150 mg (three ampoules), or 50 mg (one ampoule) if you are elderly or have kidney or liver problems.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. For short-term use only. Consider adverse renal effect in chronic kidney disease. Avoid use in moderately severe renal impairment. Increases swelling, worsens renal and heart failure and causes cardiovascular events. Increases risk of bleeding, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Consider potential interactions especially with preparations that increase risk of bleeding. (updated 16.9.2024)
