How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

  • Severe allergic reactions (with trouble breathing, wheezing, itching, hives, or swelling)
  • Rash
  • Pounding or irregular heartbeat
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Stomach pain
  • Nausea (feeling sick)
  • Vomiting
  • Upset stomach
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness (feeling sleepy)
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Muscle pain
  • Seeing or hearing things that are not real (hallucinations)
  • Seizures
  • Restlessness with more body movement
  • Liver inflammation
  • Abnormal liver function
  • Unusual weakness
  • Yellow skin and/or eyes (jaundice)
  • Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight, even on hazy days, and UV light (like from sunbeds)
  • Changes in heart rhythm
  • Abnormal behavior
  • Aggression
  • Weight gain
  • Increased appetite
  • Depressed mood
  • Dry eyes
  • Slow heart rate (in children)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to desloratadine, loratadine, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you or your family have a history of seizures.
  • This medicine is not for children under 12 years old.
  • Be careful when taking this medicine with alcohol.

  • See a doctor if your symptoms do not get better or get worse after 5 days.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Reduce the dose in severe renal impairment. Concurrent use with clopidogrel can increase loratadine and desloratadine level. (updated 19.9.2025)
