How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will determine your individual dose. Typically, 1-2 tablets (60 microgram) three times daily for diabetes insipidus, or 1-2 tablets (120 microgram) once nightly for bedwetting/nocturia.

Method

Place the tablet under your tongue, where it will dissolve without water.

Important

Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose. Especially for bedwetting and nocturia, restrict fluid intake for 1 hour before and 8 hours after taking the dose to avoid fluid buildup.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to desmopressin or any other ingredients.
  • Avoid excessive fluid intake if you have polydipsia (abnormally high thirst) or heart failure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, low sodium levels in your blood, or a hormone disorder (SIADH).
  • Be cautious if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid, or adrenal gland disease.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience headaches, nausea, vomiting, weight gain, confusion, or seizures, as these could be signs of dangerously low sodium levels in your blood.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D
