Desmopressin Orifarm helps your kidneys control how much urine your body makes, treating conditions like too much thirst, bedwetting, or frequent night urination.
How to Use
Dosage
For central diabetes insipidus, adults and children usually take 60-120 micrograms under the tongue three times a day. For bedwetting (children 5+), the usual dose is 120-240 micrograms under the tongue at night. For adults with frequent night urination, start with 60 micrograms under the tongue at night, which can be increased to 120 then 240 micrograms weekly as directed by your doctor.
Method
Place the tablet under your tongue. It will dissolve there without water. Avoid taking it with food, as this can make it less effective.
Limit your fluid intake as instructed by your doctor, especially when treating bedwetting or frequent night urination. Typically, restrict fluids for 1 hour before and 8 hours after taking the medicine. Your doctor will set your exact maximum dose.

Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to desmopressin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not use if you drink too much fluid or have constant, abnormal thirst (polydipsia).
- Do not use if you have known or suspected heart failure or moderate to severe kidney problems.
- Tell your doctor if you have severe bladder problems or difficulty urinating.
- Tell your doctor if you are 65 years or older and have low sodium levels in your blood or produce a lot of urine daily.

- Limit fluid intake as instructed to prevent too much fluid in the body, which can cause headaches, nausea, weight gain, or seizures. Stop treatment and contact your doctor if these occur.
