How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet every day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water at about the same time each day. Continue taking tablets without a break, even if you have bleeding.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

  • Hives (nettle rash)
  • Painful reddish-blue skin lumps (erythema nodosum)
  • Allergic reaction (hypersensitivity)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Desirett if you are allergic to desogestrel or any other ingredients, including peanuts or soy.
  • Do not take Desirett if you have a blood clot (thrombosis), yellow skin (jaundice), severe liver disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or certain types of cancer (like breast cancer).
  • Desirett does not protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Do not use Desirett if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe leg pain or swelling, sudden chest pain, shortness of breath, a breast lump, severe abdominal pain, or unusually heavy vaginal bleeding. Also, tell your doctor if you will be bedridden for a long time or need surgery.
