Possible Side Effects
RARE
- •Severe allergic reactions, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can make it hard to breathe.
- •Increased risk of infections or worsening of existing infections, as your immune system may be weakened.
- •Mood changes (like feeling very sad, overly happy, or confused), or other mental health problems such as seeing or hearing things that aren't there.
- •Stomach problems like ulcers that can bleed, or severe stomach pain.
- •Bone thinning (osteoporosis), muscle weakness, joint pain, or pain at the injection site.
- •High blood pressure, heart problems, or changes in how fast or regularly your heart beats.
- •Eye problems such as blurred vision, cataracts (clouding of the eye lens), or increased pressure inside the eye.
Important Warnings
- Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to methylprednisolone, lidocaine, or any other ingredients.
- Do not use if you have a fungal infection.
- Avoid if you have recently received or are about to receive a live or weakened live vaccine.
- Always tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, an eye infection caused by herpes, diabetes, osteoporosis, heart problems, or stomach ulcers, as this medicine may not be suitable for you.
- This medicine can weaken your immune system, making you more prone to infections. Your doctor will monitor you closely.
