How to Use

Dosage

Take one Daylette tablet every day.

Method

Take one tablet daily with a little water, with or without food, around the same time each day. Take a white active tablet for the first 24 days, then a green inactive tablet for 4 days. Start a new pack immediately without a break.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one tablet (0.02 mg ethinylestradiol / 3 mg drospirenone).

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mood changes
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Breast pain
  • Irregular periods or no periods
  • Stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Acne, rash, itching
  • Weight gain
RARE
  • Serious blood clots (e.g., in legs, lungs, heart, or brain)
  • Allergic reactions with severe swelling (angioedema) of face, tongue, or throat causing breathing difficulties

Important Warnings

  • Daylette increases the risk of blood clots, especially during the first year of use or if you restart it after a break of 4 weeks or more. Contact a doctor immediately if you experience symptoms of a blood clot.
  • Do not use if you have or have had a blood clot in a leg, lung, or other organ, or a known blood clotting disorder.
  • Do not use if you need surgery or prolonged bed rest.
  • Do not use if you have had a heart attack, stroke, or migraine with aura.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney disease.

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ethinylestradiol, drospirenone, soy, peanuts, or any other ingredients.
  • Daylette does not protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Do not use Daylette if you have Hepatitis C and are taking certain medications for it (e.g., ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir, dasabuvir, glecaprevir/pibrentasvir, or sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir).
