How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the typical starting dose is 100 mg or 140 mg once a day, depending on your condition. For children over 1 year, the dose is based on weight, usually 40 mg to 100 mg once a day.

Method

Take the tablets whole at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not crush, split, or chew them.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Infections (like colds, flu, chest infections)
  • Feeling tired or weak, headache, dizziness
  • Stomach pain, diarrhea, feeling sick (nausea) or vomiting, heartburn, constipation
  • Skin rash, itching, dry skin, hair loss, sweating
  • Swelling in face, hands, or feet
  • Shortness of breath, cough, fast or irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure
  • Bleeding, bruising, low counts of blood cells (red, white, platelets)
  • Muscle or joint pain, muscle cramps
  • Changes in appetite or taste, weight changes
RARE
  • Heart attack, heart failure, problems with blood flow to the heart
  • Serious infections, pneumonia, herpes zoster (shingles)
  • Stroke, seizures, facial paralysis, memory loss, dementia
  • Severe allergic reaction, swelling of lymph nodes
  • Kidney problems or kidney failure, protein in urine
  • Pancreatitis, stomach ulcers, internal bleeding (stomach or gut)
  • Vision changes or loss, hearing loss
  • Low thyroid function, diabetes, enlarged breasts in men
  • Blood clots, damage to blood vessels
  • Reactivation of Hepatitis B if you had it before

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Dasatinib Stada if you are allergic to dasatinib or any other ingredients.
  • Tell your doctor if you take medicines that thin your blood or prevent blood clots.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had liver or heart problems.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have trouble breathing, chest pain, or a cough, as this could be a sign of fluid in your lungs.
  • If you have had Hepatitis B, Dasatinib Stada might reactivate it. Your doctor will check for this.

  • See your doctor if you get unusual bruising, bleeding, fever, tiredness, or confusion during treatment.
  • Do not take Dasatinib Stada with certain other medicines like some antifungals, antibiotics, epilepsy medicines, tuberculosis medicines, stomach acid reducers (except antacids if taken 2 hours apart), or St. John's wort.
  • Dasatinib Stada should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Stop breastfeeding during treatment.
