Dasatinib Sandoz is a medicine used to treat certain types of blood cancer, like chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), in adults and children over 1 year old by stopping the growth of cancer cells.
Adults with chronic CML usually start with 100 mg once a day. For more advanced CML or a type of ALL, adults usually start with 140 mg once a day. For children, the dose is based on their weight: 40 mg for 10-<20 kg, 60 mg for 20-<30 kg, 70 mg for 30-<45 kg, and 100 mg for 45 kg and over, once a day.
Take the tablets whole at the same time each day. Do not crush, divide, or chew them. You can take them with or without food.
Your doctor will decide your exact dose and may adjust it based on how you respond to the medicine. Do not change your dose without talking to your doctor.
